About Perth & Western Australia

Perth, Western Australia is the proud host of the 7th IHMA Congress

At 2,525,500 sq km, Western Australia is about the same size as Western Europe. Western Australia is Australia's largest State and offers an extraordinary tourist experience in addition to a superbly organised Congress.

Enjoy Perth's postcard-perfect setting with free buses to get you around the CBD to visit the many tourist attractions on offer. Get active and enjoy the sunshine, natural parklands and beach lifestyle of Perth or beeline for Perth's up-market boutiques, art galleries and local eateries.

Just south of Perth, the port city of Fremantle is a popular spot for entertainment with plenty of alfresco style cafes and eateries to enjoy the local produce of the Swan Valley Region: a region of more than 40 vineyards and some of Australia's oldest wineries.

You will also have the opportunity to see the astounding and expansive beauty of the greater State, from fog shrouded forests hosting 80-metre trees, to sandy deserts, ancient sea beds and iron-ore enriched rock formations juxtaposed by dramatic river gorges and marine parks.
