Monday 19th April 2010: Swan River Cruise & Winery Tour

The Swan Valley, with its colonial towns set alongside the broad reaches of the Swan River, is the perfect introduction to Perth. Guests will board the Miss Sandalford ferry for a 2 hour cruise up the Swan River to Sandalford Winery. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and taste some of Western Australia's finest wines along the way. Coffee and petit fours will be served on board after your tasting experience.  

Arriving at Sandalford, you will have the option to tour
the winery before sitting down to a sumptuous two-course gourmet lunch in the award-winning restaurant. After lunch, your private coach will whisk you back to Perth, visiting more Swan valley delights along the way - wildlife, arts and craft and a visit to Talijancich Winery, famous for its dessert wines! Guests will be escorted back to their hotel in time to refresh for the evening function.

Tuesday 20th April 2010: Rottnest Island & Fremantle

Guests will depart the Barrack Street Jetty in Perth by ferry and cruise along the Swan River past millionaires row' - with commentary on the spectacular mansions of Perth's elite! Morning tea will be served on board before your ferry heads to Rottnest Island.

Rottnest Island, located just off the coast of Perth,

 

boasts some of the most spectacular beaches you will
ever see as well as unique animal and plant life. Explore the island the traditional way - a guided bicycle tour, or sit back and take in the scenery on a guided coach tour. There will be the opportunity to go snorkeling, encounter the wonderful wildlife, or just relax on one of the 63 unspoilt, white sand beaches. Enjoy a 2-course seafood lunch overlooking Thomson's Bay at Hotel Rottnest before boarding the ferry to head back to Fremantle.

Fremantle is an historic seaside town of convict history, glorious alfresco outdoor dining, modern ocean racing yachts, terraced houses, museums and galleries set between the Indian Ocean and the Swan River. Jump aboard a traditional tram for an orientation tour of the town. The afternoon is then yours to do some market-shopping and caf-hopping. Your coach will bring you back to your hotel by 6pm.

Wednesday 21st April 2010: Girls, Pearls, Shopping & Champagne!

This fun day starts with an exclusive coach tour of some of Perth city's icons, including the historic Bell Tower at Barrack Street Jetty. Enjoy the spectacular views across Perth city and the Swan River in magnificent Kings Park (stopping for photo opportunities), before you head to the 'trendy' suburb of Subiaco for your 'Girls & Pearls' experience.

Australia's finest pearls, diamonds and gold jewellery. Sip on champagne as Linney's expert designers give a presentation on their work with magnificent South Sea pearls and stunning Argyle pink diamonds. A gourmet lunch will follow in the heart of Subiaco, then a chance for some retail therapy in the boutiques of Hay Street and Rokeby Road.

A visit to Lamont's in East Perth for afternoon tea, then a short coach transfer will see you back to your hotel in time to refresh for the evening function.

Friday, 23rd April 2010: Technical Site Tour

Journey to Fremantle Wharf to enjoy a guided cruise around the Inner & Outer Harbour of Fremantle Port. The tour will focus on recent land reclamation sites, current dredging works, then cruise past the naval base before terminating at Cockburn Sound. Here we will alight for a guided walking tour of the Australian Marine Complex (AMC) Common User Facility (CUF)-a large, integrated fabrication and assembly  

facility with extensive load-out wharves, available to
multiple concurrent users.

You will then be transferred to the AMC Marine Support Facility (Western Australia's shipbuilding and ship repair/maintenance precinct), for a guided tour around the Austal Shipyard. Austal is a world leader in the design and construction of customised aluminium commercial and defence vessels.

Your tour ends in the historic port town of Fremantle, with the opportunity to visit the caf strip for lunch, before returning to the Sheraton, Perth.
