The Company of Master Mariners of Australia is an association established to promote the interests and status of the Merchant Navy generally and of Master Mariners in particular. Founded in 1938 by Capt.A.N. Boulton, MBE, VRD, BCom, ExC, the Company has six branches based in Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane. The Company has a number of aims and objectives which include providing in Australia a unified body of Master Mariners capable of collective representation on all occasions and in all matters affecting their interests or the status of the Merchant Navy and its Officers.

MLAANZ is an association of more than 500 members mainly but not exclusively from Australia and New Zealand, including lawyers and judges, academics, and representatives of major exporters, shipping companies, port operators, ship, cargo and liability insurers and other members of the maritime and insurance community. Members participate in a forum established for the discussion and consideration of problems affecting maritime law, its administration and reform. Our major objective is to support domestic and international institutions in their efforts to bring about the unification of maritime and commercial law, maritime customs, usages and practices, and a greater harmony in the shipping laws, regulations and practices of different nations.

The Indian National Shipowners Association (INSA), established on 2nd December, 1929, is the collective forum of the national shipping industry with a membership owning 90% of the Indian fleet. It enjoys the status of representative spokesperson for the industry at all national and international as well as governmental levels. INSA was established with the abiding objective of becoming a rallying force for all shipping companies based in India. As the torchbearer of the Indian shipping industry, INSA is committed to promote the overall development of the industry, and endeavouring to increase the profitability of its member companies and in turn their investors

Created in 1955, the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) has developed into a global alliance of ports, representing today some 230 ports in about 90 countries. IMPA: The International Maritime Pilots' Association is primarily concerned with promoting professional standards of pilotage worldwide in the interests of pilots' safety.
